Requirements
B&K Software Tools require an IBM or compatible personal computer with Windows 2000, Windows XP (32 bit), Windows Vista (32/64 bit), Windows 7 (32/64 bit) 256MB of RAM, 250 MB of free hard disk space and a 16 bit color display (256 colors not supported). Please note: B&K Software Tools may not run properly on Windows95/98/ME and Windows XP 64 bit operating systems.

Installation Steps for B&K Software

Complete BkcSuite Installation

Uninstall previous versions of BKcSuite and HTTP_Flash File Download.
Uninstall previous versions of Remote and Keypad Editors.
Install Complete or Full version of BKcSuite version 3.10.1. The Complete and Full install will include BK Multi-Zone & Theater Quick Tools, B&K Task Bar for use with 32 and 64 bit windows and BK_FLASH_W32 the new Flash Download utility. Both the Keypad and Remote Editors will not launch from the B&K Task Bar unless they are installed into the appropriate folders. The Editors are optional and may be skipped if not needed.
Install CK 2.2 Keypad Editor Version 1.10.115 (optional)
Install SR10.1 Remote Editor Version 1.12.296 (optional)
Install CK1.2/ CK1.1 Keypad Editor Version 1.12.296 (optional)
B&K HTTP_Flash File Download Application has been replaced with
BK_FLASH_W32 and is now installed along with BKcSuite 3.10.1.

Updating BkcSuite

B&K no longer recommends updating BKcSuite but rather to uninstall the old release and a fresh installation of the new release. This new installation procedure works much better with variations of Microsoft installed Security Updates.

BKcSuite Full Version - 03/05/10

BkcSuite version 3.10.1 exe -This executable will perform a complete install of
BKcSuite version 3.10.1, BK Multi-Zone & Theater Quick Tools, BKTask_W64,
BK_Task and new BK_FLASH_W32. The complete install does not include the CK2.2 or CK1.2/1.1 Editor programs. If needed those programs may be installed separately and are located below. A B&K Reference 70, AVR707/705 using version 1.08 or higher firmware requires BKcSuite ver. 3.10.1 for proper communication and setup over Ethernet or RS-232.

Note: BKcSuite 3.10.1 now supports both 32 bit and 64 bit Vista and Windows 7
Operating systems. During the installation of BkcSuite, two Icons will be added
to the desktop, BK_Task_W64 (Red Icon) for use with Windows 64 bit operating
systems and BK_Task (Grey Icon) for use with Windows 32 bit.

Note: Please make sure to uninstall any previous versions of BKcSuite

03/05/10 - New Software Release for the Reference 70, AVR707 and AVR705 - Flash Update Software Version 1.08 - You must have installed BKcSuite version 3.10.1 or higher as it contains a new BK_FLASH_W32 Flash Download Application. If you have an older version of BKcSuite and Flash Downloader Application, please uninstall and install BKcSuite 3.10.1. Please see the User Manual or Quick Guide for Flash File Update.

Note: BKcSuite is setup software for your all your B&K Products except amplifiers, keypads and remotes. Minimal Install does not include supporting documentation files i.e. manuals, RS-232 protocol, etc.) For associated documentation, please download and install the desired B&K PDF files listed below.

Note: B&K CT/HD6 Hardware Quick Tools - This is a small troubleshooting application that you can open on your PC, and "point & click" to operate. The application allows basic control of your system and is not meant to replace the system controller, ie remote, keypad, touch panel. Before using, please open the documentation below.

Note: Please make sure to check for any product firmware updates.

Note : To be able to receive B&K unit Software Updates form BKCOMP.COM an
Internet connection must be available. For use with loading new firmware simply open the "B&K Flashloader Program" and install the desired B&K unit software update.

This version supports the NEW CK 2.2 keypad, including an updated IR database. Works with Reference 70 and AVR707.

SR10.1 Editor Version 1.12.296 (with SR10.1 to CK1.2 Conversion!!)
This version supports an updated drop-down code base , as well as the ability to convert a SR10.1 Remote to either a CK1.2 or a CK1.1 Keypad. Works with Reference 70 and AVR707.
